
The Bangladesh Poribesh Andolon (BAPA), the country’s leading environmental advocacy platform, held its 13th General Meeting (AGM) today at the Women’s Voluntary Association (WVA) Auditorium in Dhanmondi. The day-long session, which ran from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, brought together environmentalists, activists, and organization members to review past activities and chart the future course of the movement.
The meeting was presided over by BAPA President Professor Noor Mohammad Talukder. Key discussion included for specific regional movements, highlighting BAPA’s decentralized approach to environmental activism. Members also deliberated on and approved proposed amendments to the BAPA constitution and reviewed the Treasurer’s financial report. The event concluded with the discussion of election of the 9th National Committee, establishing the leadership team that will guide the organization through the upcoming term.
