Proceeding from its principle of financial self-reliance BEN does not seek or accept any fund from governments or donor organizations. Instead it relies entirely on the contributions from its members. BEN membership is free. However more conscious members of BEN contribute money to BEN fund. For this purpose, BEN conducts annual fundraisings, during which willing BEN members send it their contributions. Money raised by BEN is sent to Bangladesh primarily to support BAPA activities. BEN is registered in the USA with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) under Section 501(c) (3) as a non-profit organization working for protection of environment. Contributions to BEN in the USA are therefore tax exempted. BEN’s EIN is 58-2454949.
BEN follows a transparent accounts policy. The details of BEN’s yearly earnings and expenditure are posted in BEN website for everybody to see and scrutinize.
